When delegates complete an HC Skills International training programme, their qualification is officially recognised – like a degree.

As a National Occupational Standard, then it is recommended that they reaccredit/CPD every two years if you are in professional practice.

When delegates complete an HC Skills International training programme, they receive a qualification that is officially recognised, and this has been the case since 2000.

All our qualifications meet not only the professional requirements placed on Medical Device, Pharma and other staff who are required to be in hospital areas, they also provide legal indemnity for health care companies, hospital trusts etc.

The separation between the training provider and the qualification awarding body who draw up relevant assessment criteria is key.

This assessment meets the requirement of the qualification and this in turn guarantees that successful delegates can operate effectively, safely and legally within a medical setting.

As an example, doctors have a medical degree, which is formally recognised and remains in place in perpetuity – but it is not a licence to practice.

As such the qualification does not need to be renewed – but their registration and licence to practice do.

Furthermore, they must show their knowledge and skills are up to date through regular checks on their practice, known as revalidation.

Doctors must revalidate every five years, and part of this process must involve the providing of evidence of how they are keeping up to date with their medical knowledge and skills, known as “continuing professional development”.
