The aim of the postgraduate diploma – Robotic-Assisted Surgical Systems (RASS) is to promote the best level of clinical and technical support for the use of robotic-assisted technology in primary Knee surgery.
The qualification identifies the critical factors that should be fully understood to successfully use robotic assisted navigation software for surgical procedures in TKA and UKA.
This Level 7 Diploma – Robotic Assisted Surgical Systems- Knee (Smith &Nephew) (PGDip RASS) will certify a Surgeon’s level of technical knowledge and their ability to apply the said technical knowledge of the CORI robotic-assisted surgical system in a clinical practice.
The programme will be delivered via 3 separate Units. A combination of Remote distance learning, formal face to face presentations, problem based learning and hands on practical applications in a simulated clinical setting, administered and facilitated by both Surgeon faculty and clinical educators with the defining experience and qualifications.
